PRESS RELEASE: Vela Hosts Affordable Care Act Event in San Juan

 

 SAN JUAN, TX – U.S. Representative Filemon Vela (D-Brownsville), in conjunction with La Union Del Pueblo Entero (LUPE), will host an Affordable Care Act enrollment fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015. The event will be held at the San Juan LUPE office located on the corner of Cesar Chavez Road and Business 83 in San Juan, Texas.

“Helping constituents enroll in affordable healthcare in South Texas is important to me,” U.S. Rep. Vela said. “I’ll continue to host enrollment fairs to help get more people covered. I know having reliable healthcare insurance brings peace of mind to South Texas families.”

During the event, U.S. Representative Vela, staff with Enroll America, LUPE and healthcare navigators will help constituents of the 34th District of Texas and community members in Beeville sign up for healthcare coverage.  VA Valley Costal Bend representatives will be in attendance to answer questions about healthcare and benefits.  Additionally, U.S. Representative Vela's staff will provide information to constituents on how the office can help them navigate federal agencies and departments regarding pending cases.
