Congressional App Challenge Winner
This year, my office hosted the 2018 Congressional App Challenge alongside Members of Congress throughout the House of Representatives. The Congressional App Challenge (CAC) is a competition designed to encourage student participation in computer science and coding. Each year, a winner is chosen in each congressional district by a panel of expert judges and their app is featured on https://www.congressionalappchallenge.us/ and eligible to be on display in the U.S. Capitol.
Congratulations to Victoria Garza of South Texas High School for winning this year’s Congressional App Challenge for Texas-34. Her app, DailyWrite, encourages students to journal using their mobile phones. Her app includes 365 journal prompts so students will have a new subject each day to write about.
